Baltic Metallurgical Company was founded on October 1, 1998 with the goal of providing 100% rolled metal and metal services to the construction and engineering industries of the region. One of the significant dates in the history of the company is the opening in 2004 in Kaliningrad of the first BMK metal hypermarket in the region on the street. Dzerzhinsky, offering a wide range of rolled metal products from leading Russian, Ukrainian and European manufacturers, as well as metalworking services. Already in 2009, the volume of supplies of world championships to the Kaliningrad region amounted to 19.5 million tons, in 2010 - 36.4 million tons, 2011 - 38.3 million tons, in 2014 the figure reached a record 51.4 million tons of ferrous metal. In the first half of 2016, the volume of sales of BMK products reached almost 30 thousand tons. At the moment, the Metal Hypermarket's product range includes more than 3,000 types of ferrous metal products (pipe, sheet, shaped, rolled) and hardware. The next stage in the work of BMK was associated with the maximum closure of the needs of the “locomotive” of the regional economy - the construction industry.
